When we discovered this company, our way of thinking about canning quality changed. A unique product, of the highest quality and a different elaboration; result of more than 30 aWe have been working the sea as it was always done, with all the respect and affection. There is nothing like it.

We are very proud to have exceptional and unique products in Spain. But sometimes, it is a bar, it still goes up a little bit more. And is that Canned Nosa, the Galician company from the Ribeira area (La Coruña), has marked the path of canneries, with exceptional products.

This company is made up of a group of friends (shipowners, bateeiros and shellfish fishermen), who have been working as professionals in the sea sector for more than 30 years, lovers of the best product, and produce the highest quality canned food, 100% Galician, without artificial additives.

That of 100% Galician It is very important to clarify it, since we have detected that not all products with packaging made in Galicia, their product, is really fish in Galicia. It is not our job to denounce that, but to promote who does things very well. Y Canned Nosa, it does guarantee that all its product is 100% extracted from the Galician coast. And it is that their production is limited to what the sea can provide them in each season of the year. In other words, only what the sea contributes is collected at the peak of its capture. No more no less. And that is why production is limited (and exclusive) to what can be offered annually, no two years are ever the same, and this entails what is always the same, offering the highest quality. In that they are unbeatable !!

At the moment, we offer in MadeinSpain.store its three ranges of products:

  • The mussels
  • The cockles
  • The Sardines

The mussels, extracted from their own trays, they are only made in the months of October and November, and allow to obtain an optimal product of flavor and texture.

They are also made fresh, and in less than 24 hours they are already in their preserves and ready to be eaten. Made in the old way, in a traditional way.

It is a show to listen to your Commercial Director, Manuel Rodriguez, when he explained that each mussel is removed, hair by hair, and manually! Its marinade is also different, with a 60% -40% proportion of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and vinegar (Galician of course).

The ultimate test is to open a can from another manufacturer once you have tasted Nosa Batea. The difference is so great that you will no longer be able to see them as two identical products.

Cockles, They are from Noia, a town in Coruña. Like the mussels, they are chosen at their optimum moment of capture, by the shellfish companies. My experience with this seafood was incredible. I have always loved cockles, a product that is essential in our appetizers, along with a good vermouth, some olives, some mussels and some potato chips. But discovering these has been not being able to eat others, never again! Because of its size, its texture and of course, of course, its flavor.

Incomparable! A real cockle fillet.

And finally the sardines, from Rianxo, also in La Coruña. A fish that is also a delicacy "MadeinGalicia". Because its texture and flavor are also very different from what the market usually offers. Its conservation in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, makes it have an extraordinary flavor and its production is also limited, because it is only fished between June and July, when it has its optimal size and fat.

 

Some reserve preserves

And also, because its preparation is made with the best oils, spices and vinegars, over time, its conservation makes the product improve, so, as a long aging wine, the preserves improve over time, that is, that have a different taste, more intense, but always excellent.
