Description
The Cantera de Santa Ana farm is located in a privileged place known for centuries as the “Monte de las viñas”.
They strive for quality, passionate and responsible viticulture. Their production is limited since they exclusively make the estate's grapes: Chardonnay, Syrah, Red Garnacha, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. Green pruning, thinning, selected harvest, maceration, malolactic fermentation in barrels, maturation in oak and in bottle, the passage of time... are some of the tools we use to make our wines.

DO NOT FORGET ME
Many stories and legends are told about this tiny flower. It symbolizes friendship and eternal love.
Its meaning is similar in many languages. Forget me not, ne m'oubliez pas, non ti scordar di me, vergeet mit nietje, não me esqueças, vergissmeinnicht, neforgesumino, no m'oblidis, oroilore, 勿忘我, 私を忘れないで.
A cheeky, modern and casual wine that is presented with an attractive design thanks to the good intensity pink color that this Garnacha presents, as well as a raised label where the tiny flower that gives it its name appears.
This wine is ideal for two, a sign of the freshness and agility with which this beautiful rosé circulates in our mouths, without a doubt a great choice, for a very affordable price.
A personal project.
Tomás Santos Irujo, with experience in important wine-growing regions of France and Spain, chose La Cantera de Santa Ana to develop his most personal oenological project, with the support of Grupo Vidmundi.
Tomás, born in Pamplona, has a degree in Biology from the University of Navarra. He wanted to continue his training and decided to go to Tarragona to take a degree in Oenology at the Rovira i Virgili University. It was there that he met his wife Silvia, also a winemaker.
They both decided to start their working life in Navarra, so Tomás returned to his land, and it is where they have also raised their family.
Its fourteen hectares are located in the Ebro Valley, in the heart of a large terrace known as the "Monte de las viñas".
The Cantera de Santa Ana farm is “Soil, Moncayo and Cierzo”.
Moncayo, majestic, as the highest peak of the Iberian system protects them by trapping the clouds and cold Atlantic. Its imposing size and its halo of a sacred mountain create a unique, almost magical landscape.
Alluvial soil and limestone soil. Fast draining and fresh in the background. Exceptional for viticulture.
The Cierzo. That cold, dry northwesterly wind. When it blows, it makes its grapes healthy and the nights cool.
They work the vineyard with passion and respect for the terroir. Through gentle tillage and without more irrigation than the natural rain.
The conditions of this ecosystem and intense manual labor (green pruning, thinning, selection...) allow them to be grown sustainably and responsibly.
Chardonnay, Syrah, Red Garnacha, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are its varieties.
Traditional and careful preparations, always taking into account the characteristics of each vintage.
They seek to bring out the best of each variety. The process and times are different for each of them; fermentations, macerations, maturation in oak, rest in the bottle... but one thing is common to all their wines, the care with which they are worked.
