The snowball keeps getting bigger. 5 years ago, when we started with the brand Rosemary, and the concept premium networking, everything seemed very complicated. Now, there is no other way. And in it, we are meeting companies and people who, despite not knowing each other personally, the affinities are amazing and quickly become travel companions, because we all go to the same place: to a place where people appreciate things, how they are made, who is behind it and with the obsession of preserving the territory.

And with these premises, we are pleased to share with all of you the new addition to our community of ed'o (essence of gold). A ultra-premium AOVE, as they call it, from the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) of Siurana, Tarragona.

We have to admit that we were very positively surprised to see that it was a company fully adapted to current times, the packaging very preserved, storytelling impeccable and a product of the highest level that falls in love as soon as you meet it.

Hamburg: the beginning

It seems very strange that the origin of the business idea of ed'o, had its first steps in Hamburg, Germany. But that's exactly where it all started. There they were living, Ariadna and Erhan, in the city with the most important port in the whole country. Love arose and a common idea emerged: to return to Spain and create a business here. Erhan, of Turkish origin, had come to Barcelona several times, and he loved the gastronomic products of our land, particularly the extra virgin olive oil. Through Ariadna's family, who already owned land in Alcover, Tarragona, they valued the opportunity to make a different, high-end, sublime product, the best. That it was really recognized worldwide, as a true jewel, that's how it was born ed'o (essence of gold). The most precious of our land.

Ariadna and Erhan were very clear that they could only make a product that was recognized as the best of the best. Therefore, they studied every minute detail that this valuable reward could offer them. And due to the characteristics of their extra virgin olive oil, they believe that they are in a higher category than the “simple” EVOO. This is considered as such up to an acid number of 0,8%. Well, his two creations, the Alcover EVOO, and the organic one from Priorat, have acidity levels of 0.1%, which makes them products of exceptional purity.

Extra Virgin Olive Oils ed'o they are the purest essence of nature transformed into liquid gold. A process that takes place only one week a year, the moment of maximum splendor of the olive, which results in a very limited production that guarantees a lowest acidity level and highest organoleptic properties.

These two elixirs are made of 100% Arbequina and have the Certification of the Siurana Protected Designation of Origin (Spain). They are packaged in completely opaque glass bottles to keep the natural nutritional properties of olive oils perfectly preserved. The wavy silhouette of the container is an allegory of the Mediterranean Sea, whose breeze caresses our olives throughout the growing process, giving ed'o a unique flavor and character.

The white bottle contains ed'o PURE, a fresh and fruity Extra Virgin Olive Oil, while the black bottle contains ed'o ORGANIC, an EVOO with more body and character. These two products are presented in the luxurious box Pairing Edition DELUXE, to be able to delight the senses with the latest in pairing. The attractive design of this box allows both bottles to be viewed side by side in a way that reminds us of the symbol of the Yin Yang, which evokes the notion of Perfect balance.
